Interros believes that the publicity campaign waged by the United Company Rusal during the past few months against the shareholders, management and independent directors of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel (Norilsk) is unjustified and aimed solely at furthering the interests of Rusal.

Interros nominates the following candidates to the Board of Directors of Norilsk Nickel for the EGM on October 21: Boris Bakal, Andrey Bougrov, Oleg Deripaska, Marianna Zakharova, Andrey Klishas, Dmitry Kostoev, Bradford Alan Mills, Oleg Pivovarchuk, Maxim Sokov, Vladislav Soloviev, Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, Vasily Titov, John Gerard Holden. Thus Interros reaffirms, that it is satisfied with the results of the AGM of Norilsk Nickel on June 28, and sees no sense in reelecting the Board.

August 2, 2010 vice-president and chairman of the Interros board Andrey Klishas is appointed to the position of the president of Norilsk Nickel. As the presidentAndrey Klishas will be responsible for the development and implementation of the corporate strategy of the company, improvement of corporate governance, and for the activities aimed at the growth of MMC market capitalization. Furthermore, the president will oversee any potential merger & acquisition transactions.

In respect of RUSALs statements through the public media we find it necessary to convey the following: Interros is satisfied with the results of the Annual General Meeting of shareholders of MMC Norilsk Nickel. The meeting was conducted in strict conformity with the requirements of the law and statutory norms of the Company. In this regard Interros does not see any justification for the termination of the elected Board of Directors and revision of the outcome of the meeting of the shareholders. The recently unleashed campaign to discredit Norilsk Nickel and its shareholders is totally unacceptable.

Annual General Meeting of shareholders of MMC Norilsk Nickel took place in Moscow on June 28. Four Interros representatives were elected to the Board of Directors: Boris Bakal, Consultant of Interros International Investments Limited, Andrey Bougrov, Managing Director of Interros Holding Company,Andrey Klishas, Vice-President of Interros Holding Company and Marianna Zakharova, Director of Legal Department of Interros Holding Company. Interros also supported the nomination of Vasily Titov as an independent director.
